Jake Muzzin, on the pace of the game:
They’re a fast team. We did a little better defending the rush, got better gaps. But they’re a fast team. We knew that.
Muzzin, on the Kings’ ability to keep pace with a fast team:
They had a little bit of momentum in the second. We’ve got to take advantage of the special teams. The PK was good, but we’ve got to put a couple in on the power play, for sure.
Muzzin, on Ben Scrivens:
Scriv was dynamite tonight. We should’ve put a couple in to help him out, but he was awesome.
Anze Kopitar, on the biggest challenge on the power play:
Tonight I felt like we didn’t win a lot of faceoffs. We didn’t have possession right off the get-go. We had some decent looks on shots, but we’ve got to get in there a little bit more and get a little greedy around the net.
Kopitar, on Ben Scrivens keeping the team in the game:
He kept us all the way. He made some really nice saves in the first. He’s been doing that ever since Jon went down. We’re really comfortable having him back there. He’s giving us a chance every night.
Kopitar, on what he noticed about Colorado:
They were playing a fast game. We definitely have to respect their skill. I think they play a solid team game. [Reporter: How’d you guys keep up with their speed tonight?] Moving our legs.
Kopitar, on whether Colorado is playing “more solid” defensively:
Yeah, it seems like they don’t run-and-gun as much as they did. Like I said, they play a solid team game.
