On the team’s performance:
I thought we got off to a good start tonight [and] just kept going. Obviously when you get off to a good start in your own building, it’s key. We’re on a little bit of a roll, and we’ve just got to keep things going.
On whether he’s becoming more acclimated to the pace of the game:
Yeah, I think so. I think game-by-game, every period, every shift, I think you’re getting more and more comfortable out there. For us, we want to be a part of it. We also want to be an impact on the game. You can never stop improving, and like I said, we’re taking it game-by-game.
On setting up Dwight King’s shorthanded goal:
I just saw Kinger. I knew the goalie was going to rim it along the boards. I just got to the boards, and I saw Kinger going to the net, so I just tried to get it there as fast as possible, and he made a good tip, and it went in, obviously.
On whether he pays much attention to the standings:
A little bit, yeah. Obviously it’s important, and we’ve been climbing a lot lately. But the biggest thing for us is to keep winning. I think you can’t focus on how other teams are doing. We’ve just got to focus on how we’re playing and making sure every night we’re ready to go.
