On what has been coming together:
I mean, we’re scoring by committee, we’re playing defense. The penalty kill is going pretty well. It’s a culmination of things, but mainly the efforts’ there from the guys each and every night. If guys are fighting it, fighting the puck once in a while, they’re finding ways to contribute in other ways, whether that’s being solid defensively and laying the body a little bit. Everybody’s got a job to do, and everybody’s contributing. That’s what you need to win.
On whether he was “mindful” that he had played eight games, all on the road:
I’ll play every game that they tell me to play. I’m not prejudiced about which ones I play in. Obviously it was nice to be in L.A. and play in front of our hometown fans. But, like I said, if I only played road games, and that’s what the coaching staff decided, then that’s what the coaching staff decides, and that’s what I’ll do.
On whether the shutout streak entered his mind when it concluded:
I’m focused more on the win. That should be the story, a five two win, not necessarily an individual accomplishment or whatever within the game.
