-The Kings improved to 41-55-18 all-time against the Sabres, which includes a record of 25-24-0 at home. Los Angeles is 8-2-1 in the last 11 home games against Buffalo, and 3-6-0 in the last nine overall head-to-head matchups. The Kings had played all 28 other teams in the league prior to their last meeting against the Sabres on October 8, 2011.

-Los Angeles won 26-of-53 faceoffs, losing the faceoff battle for the first time in eight games.

-With a 4-for-4 penalty kill, the Kings were perfect while shorthanded since killing off all five Dallas power plays on October 19.

-Los Angeles failed to record 30 shots for the fifth time in 16 games. They out-shot their opponent for the 14th time in 16 games.

-In his 300th career game, Jonathan Quick earned his 26th career regular season shutout and first since a 4-0 win over Phoenix on March 18, 2013. He is six shutouts behind Rogie Vachon for the most in Kings history.

-Anze Kopitar has goals in three straight games (3-2=5 over that span) and 11 points (4-7=11) in the last eight games.

-Mike Richards has points in three straight games (2-3=5 in that span) and eight points (4-4=8) in the last seven games.

-Drew Doughty has seven points (3-4=7) in the last eight games.

-The Kings had 10 former Manchester Monarchs in the lineup tonight: Quick, Muzzin, Lewis, Brown, Voynov, Martinez, Vey, Nolan, Toffoli and King.

-The Kings are now 6-for-17 (35.3%) on the power play over the last four games.

-Mike Richards finished with a game-high six shots.

-Linden Vey recorded 11:28 of ice time in his NHL debut. He spent 1:50 on the power play and 2:08 on the penalty kill.

-Amongst regular faceoff performers, Mike Richards won 6-of-11, Anze Kopitar won 11-of-23, Trevor Lewis won 4-of-8 and Linden Vey won 3-of-8.
