October 19 postgame notes, videos

-The Kings improved to 83-97-40 (W-L-T) all-time against Dallas, and 50-38-22 at home.

-The Stars failed to record a point for only the fifth time in their last 24 visits to Staples Center.

-Five Kings had a multi-point game. Justin Williams recorded two goals and an assist, Anze Kopitar recorded three assists, Drew Doughty finished with a goal and an assist, Jake Muzzin had two assists, and Matt Greene had a goal and an assist.

-Drew Doughty’s game-winning goal was the 13th of his career, tying him with Steve Duchesne for the second most in club history.

-Justin Williams last recorded a three-point game on March 9, 2013 against Calgary, when he scored a goal and had two assists.

-Willie Mitchell led everyone in ice time with 25:06.

-Matt Greene scored his second goal of the year on an empty-net.

-The Kings out-hit Dallas 50-29. Dustin Brown and Matt Greene each had eight hits.

-The Kings won 35-of-67 faceoffs (52%). Among regular performers, Mike Richards won 8-of-13, Anze Kopitar won 11-of-20, Jarret Stoll won 13-of-21, Colin Fraser won 1-of-6 and Jeff Carter won 2-of-7. Trevor Lewis did not take a faceoff.

-Jeff Carter and Jamie Benn tied for a game-high six shots on goal.

-Matt Greene had a game-high four blocked shots.

-14 different Kings recorded time on the penalty kill.

-The Kings have killed off 14 consecutive power plays.

The Kings are scheduled to practice at 11:00 a.m. Sunday at the Toyota Sports Center.
