October 11 postgame quotes: Robyn Regehr

Regehr on the defenses:
We talked about it before the game that Carolina had only allowed two goals per game other than the game against Pittsburgh, I believe. We knew they were playing really well defensively. For us, we wanted to be more consistent in that area. We were giving up a little bit too much. I thought both teams played very strong in front of their goaltenders; and when there were breakdowns there were some spectacular saves made at both ends of the ice.

Regehr on the game plan:
We just wanted to keep going and keep being consistent and keep going at them. We spoke about them being on the ice last night in Washington, so maybe fatigue turns into a little bit of a factor if you can continue to pressure them. The big thing for us is having a good consistent game. I think, in the short season so far in the few games that we have played, I think by far that was our best effort from everyone and we need to continue on down that path.
