A sales pitch or two

–THIS IS A BATTLE. So the Kings and Delta are hosting a contest to find the biggest Kings fan. It’s called the Battle of the Superfans, and it’s up and running on the Kings site.

The Superfan selected will win two business class tickets on Delta to New York, two nights in a hotel, and two tickets to the Kings-Rangers game at MSG on November 17th that promises to be better than the Kings-Rangers game at Staples Center.

The eight biggest fans will be placed into a bracket format where fans can vote for a winner. It’s not a random drawing; the biggest fans will be selected on who posts and communicates most on social media.

Insiders: get on this. Think of this as LAKI vs LGK.com. You’re in direct competition with each other! And don’t go easy on each other just because you’re official LAKings digital media outlets. I want to see you both fighting for your editors’ love!

–LO, SUITE NIGHT IS UPON US. There are limited tickets remaining for the first LAKI Suite Night of the season, which will be held on Saturday, October 19 against Dallas. I’ll be covering the game from the suite and will also bring down Pat Donahue, Manager, Digital Media (and the mind behind some of the best @LAKings tweets) for a pre-game chat to discuss the LA Kings Insider platform and the work that goes on within the Kings’ digital media team, which is among the best in all of sports.

The deadline to purchase tickets for the LA Kings Insider suite on October 19 has been extended to 5 p.m. on October 16.
