Quick allows fluky goal, answers questions

For all the excellent saves that Jonathan Quick made on Monday night – and the Kings would have been down multiple goals heading into the third period if not for his stellar efforts – there was his one fluky mishandle on Ryan McDonagh’s shorthanded clearing attempt that elicited its own posts on Puck Daddy and Deadspin, amongst other sites.

Not pictured: Ridiculous saves on Benoit Pouliot, Derek Stepan, and what appeared to be virtually every member of New York’s forward corps.

OK, pictured: his save on Benoit Pouliot. (Thank you, KingsVision)

After the game, Quick kept his composure as best he could while answering questions about perhaps the most bizarre goal that has ever been scored at Staples Center.
