Sunday reading: 30 in 30, Los Angeles Kings - LA Kings Insider is highlighting all 30 teams over the span of 30 days, and today’s 30 in 30 feature featured an interesting conversation between Dan Rosen and Dean Lombardi on Willie Mitchell’s impact:

“When he is out there, and I don’t think I’m out of line, I think he’s one of the top-five most underrated players in the League,” Lombardi told “I think you’ve really got to know the game to appreciate him. We all appreciated him when we had him, but, boy, there are subtleties in his game that you see night in and night out. It’s his stick and his positioning. He’s probably one of the top penalty killers in the League.

“If he’s back and he’s playing with [Slava] Voynov, that’s a classic matching pair. Knock on wood, it’s been good so far.”
