April 16 postgame notes

-The Kings are 8-17-6 in their last 31 trips to HP Pavilion, dating back to the 2002-03 season. Los Angeles’ last win in San Jose was a 4-0 win on December 27, 2010.
-Los Angeles fell to 2-4 in shootouts this season. Kings skaters are 9-for-21 in shootouts. Opponents are 12-for-22 against Kings goalies in shootouts.
-The 78 shots (LAK-43; SJS-35) tied for the most combined shots in a game this season (2/10/13: LAK-47, DET-31 SOG).
-The Kings have killed off 10 consecutive power plays over the last four games.
-The Kings are 42-for-47 on the penalty kill (89.4%) over the last 16 games.
-The Kings have averaged 33.8 shots per game over the last 12 games (406 shots / 12 games).
-Jake Muzzin’s power play goal was his first goal since a 4-0 win over Phoenix on March 18 and ended a 14-game goal drought.
-Anze Kopitar, Dustin Brown and Brent Burns tied for a game-high seven shots.
-The Kings out-hit the Sharks 37-21. Dustin Brown had a game-high eight hits.
-Kyle Clifford played in his 200th career NHL game.
-Brent Burns (2-4=6) leads all skaters in points in the season series.
-Joe Thornton recorded his 500th career assist as a Shark on TJ Galiardi’s goal.
