April 6 postgame quotes: Anze Kopitar

On whether he pays attention to the Anaheim Ducks’ season:
“To be honest, we’re a little bit too busy to look around. Sometimes when you get a little bit of time off you want to shut your brain off a little bit and get away from hockey. But I do know they have a really good season down there, team-wise. We’re going to have to work tomorrow to get the two points.”

On whether pays much attention to the standings:
“At this point of the season you kind of have to look at [the standings]. Not ‘have to’, but you take a peek once in a while. The way it is right now, you win a game, you move up. You lose, you move down. So it’s important for us to get two points.”

On the importance of countering Edmonton’s speed and winning the special teams battle:
“It was huge. They have a lot of skill. Every time you get into a power play, penalty killing situation against them, it’s pretty hard to defend. As you saw it out there, I thought they were moving the puck pretty good, but at the same time our penalty kill was pretty good. Quickie was good. We gave up one, but we won that battle.”

On whether he likes the Drew Doughty – Robyn Regehr pairing:
“Yeah. I got a chance to play with them a little bit tonight, so it’s pretty nice to have them back there.”
