Mitchell won’t return

After a chat with Dean Lombardi last week in which the Kings’ general manager referred to Willie Mitchell’s return as “a very long shot”, it is now evident that the 35-year-old defenseman will not play this year per the reports below.

There had been hope in LA Willie Mitchell might return but it’s a no go. Had his knee scoped. @real_espnlebrun reports he’s done for year.
