March 31 postgame quotes: Jonathan Bernier

On whether this was one of the more complete road efforts of the season:
“Definitely…It’s a hell of an effort. Plus, we played last night. It’s not an easy game to play, and a five o’clock game. We found a way and we really battled hard. I’d like to get those goals back probably. I just misread a little bit. But that’s the game and you make mistakes. But we found a way, and when you keep it under two, you’ve got a pretty good chance to win the hockey game.

On whether it was “difficult emotionally” playing following the passing of his grandmother:
“Yeah, obviously. It’s never an easy time to go through. But I played that game for her, and I think she’ll appreciate that.”

On whether it was a challenge playing against a team that had beaten L.A. twice:
“Definitely. Their goalie’s been playing very well against us, but we kept playing the system, and we found a way to score three, and we held on to it. We’re playing some good hockey, and we’re finding ways to win, and that’s the most important.”

On Brad Richardson’s goal:
“That’s awesome, especially for a guy like that that doesn’t play a lot. He works hard every day, and to get a goal like that, I’m really happy for him.”

On Dallas still getting chances and bodies in front despite the lack of shots:
“They’re a rush team, so obviously that’s probably why they don’t shoot a lot. They’re trying to get those three-on-twos or two-on-ones at the net. But we did a good job. Our F3 was there all night, and that’s why we got a lot of scoring chances off of it.”
