Martinez in; Drewiske out

Alec Martinez will enter the Kings lineup in the place of Davis Drewiske for tonight’s game against Nashville.

“It was just a matter of getting practices in and things like that,” said Martinez, who missed eight games due to an upper-body injury. Los Angeles was 6-2-0 in his absence.

The 25-year-old left-shooting defenseman has one goal, two points and an even rating in 11 games this season. He will be paired with Keaton Ellerby, which maintains Sutter’s preference of pairing an offensively capable puck-mover with a stay-at-home defenseman when possible.

Drewiske, 28, has appeared in all 19 games this season, recording one goal, four points and a plus-five rating.

More from Sutter will be posted shortly.
