@jet, Did anyone notice Howard intentionally tripping Kopi after the goal. What a poor sport!

Kopitarian gunship raining hot lead from above!! Nice one JR..

Pure sick.
Howard with the mini Mike Smith after the goal. Check out the trip on Kopitar!

@Euphonic,
I don’t know. Howard was just splayed out real far and Kopi skated into the crook of his stick. Howard did jerk his stick away, but any other goalie would do the same. Smith would have jerked the stick away and then finished Kopi off Mortal Kombat style right there on the ice in front of God and everyone.

@Wilmonde, Yeah Smith would’ve tried to put the hurt on Kopi because not only would Kopi have gotten past him, but Smith would’ve been angry that he fell for such a trick.
Sweet move by Kopi to just get the goaltender to open up the bottom of the net and put it in.
Kopitarian. I like it.

I love the fact that Kopi checks the Wing on Lewis’ backside which allows Lewis to turn and deliver the pass to him. Taking the body, delivering the hits, going to the net, burying the goal and leaving Howard on the plane mumbling “11….11….11….11….11….”

Datsyuk is great, no incredible, in spurts. But Kopitar is made for the postseason, endurance and winning Cups. Advantage, LA.

@Robert R, Right. You’d better bring a crowbar… Kopi’s such a complete player. It’s rare to see a guy with hands like his constantly willing to dig and scrape along the boards and in the corners.

@Paul Armbruster (KingsNewsDaily.com), Datsyuk may have a won a cup, too and played in quite a few playoff games in his career, not sure though. I believe Koptiar is the next best two way player in the NHL, but Datsyuk has been doing it for a long time. GKG!!
[Reply]
A big word of thanks to the Wings for leaving Kopitar wide open, no one within 10 feet of him when that sweet backhand pass came. 3 Wings battling on the boards, and the other 2 too high in the zone.
Careless, stupid play, and we loved it.

That goal was a honey. Wow.

The reference is to almost all Armenian last names ending in -ian (or -yan if from the country of Armenia). We know Kopi is Slovenian and has the Balkan look.

Cough, Just in case some people get confused and don’t know what I’m talking about, cough, he asked me how I was doing, and my reply was “very well, thank you.”
The word “Kopitarian” refers to a religion I started in Anze Kopitar’s (pbuh) rookie year. Let us pray.

@Neil, Waah. I wanted JR to raise the bar here and he did that, as I believed he had and has the credibility to do so. I just want LAKI to be a great fu…you can’t curse here…a great freaking place for Kings fans about every aspect of the team and players, not just a bunch of media scrum quotes and pedantic commentary. JR has shown all of us he is capable of it and there is still so much room to make it better…and I believe he will make it much better if he really wants it. He has the background and skill set for it.
Of course, he can’t “entertain” like we can but, hey, nobody is fu…geesh…freaking perfect.
