@SLIM, All 3 goals so far have been because the defenders have been watching the puck instead of watching their man. 4 Flames players stared at Kopi on Brown’s goal. King and Penner were staring at Iginla on the Flames goal. And the Flames defender was staring at Carter on Lewis’ goal. Carter also got caught napping late in the period, but thankfully it didn’t cost us.

Finally over .500 2 points out of 8th. 4 points out of 5th. And Craig Buttons already has us out of the playoffs.

@Goring 19,
Any time Craig Button talks about the Kings, he’s choking on envy over not having gotten the job over Dean Lombardi. I remember that every time I see him on TV.

Funny, but as soon as Button said we would miss the playoffs I knew we were a lock to make the playoffs.

Sat is legends afternoon (clearly not night as it’s a 1pm start time…) so let’s see if the Kings can make themselves look like legends on Sat. OK Kings, you’re a on roll. Remember what you did these last 2 nights in EDM/CGY and apply it to the Avs game on Sat.
GKG!!!
[Reply]
Hey Jon, will you start a drive for the Kings where Insider fans can donate energy drinks and 5 hour energy so the Kings will have a good game on Sat?

But but but, he was only trying to catch the puck! What a punk. MI’m sure the Nuk fans are up in arms over any discipline

@Kenny44, I’m sure too. The NBC sports announcers go “Hossa should’ve known better than to go to the part of the ice” Umm… He’s trying to play the puck… It’s not his fault that Hansen decided to pound him in the back of the head

@taz42, Solid. He played well tonight. But more importantly, IMO, the defense played good too overall. Far fewer Grade A chances. I haven’t looked at TOI yet but I wouldn’t be surprised to see an uptick in Sir Ellerby’s ice time.

The Cup afterglow is over. The shock of the D injuries has waned. We’ve got past the “oh snap, we better start playing” quasi-panic. Lately, the Kings have got back to that all business approach that won them the Cup. And they still aren’t playing anywhere near their best, yet.
Go Kings Go!

Nice win, are they finally getting back in the groove??? If we can win bs Colorado and Anaheim, I’ll start imagining a repeat again. It’s been rough for us fans again, but maybe they are now believing in life without Greene, Mitchell and Martinez.
I thought the young D men Muzzin did better, he seemed like he was passing better and getting his own groove going, keep it up. Drewieske played another pretty solid game, Ellerby was pretty good also, again problably getting used to his team mates. Voynov I thought had a sub par game, he had a few turnovers and just looked tired. I hope they continue to grow and be successful additions in the lineup.
Penner was a beast also, he’s had jump last couple games and I can tell he’s feeling good again.
Who knows, a slow start and low scoring, may actually make this team come together early on.
GO KINGS GO!!!
