@SLIM, I think we’ll know within a few minutes of the puck drop. If they’re skating rings around us (as in Chicago) I think its a long Nguyen…if r forecheck is slowing them down n quick is sharp (and I think he will b) we’ll get the 1st one n our experience n style may frustrate their kids. I’m only being positive n optimistic because 2 insiders convinced me last night that my “resistance (against optimism) was futile”

He’s also a rookie. That was his what, maybe 5th NHL game?
At the 2012 World Juniors, Yakupov scored against Canada and he celebrated directly in front of Team Canada’s bench, flaunting his jersey right in front of the team. Haha a pretty arrogant thing to do.

That was a GREAT run by Dustin Brown, and a GREAT run from the Kings, but you can’t count on that kind of production from Brown every single game. Just like you can’t count on that great play from the Kings every single game.
Does Brown need to be better, yes he does, but he’s been playing on his off wing every game but tonight, and it seems like hes had a different winger alongside him and kopi every night. He hasn’t played good tonight, but he hasn’t hurt the team either.

@g smith86, as I said before, Quick is not playing bad tonight. My point is Bernier has won 2 games in just 4 games. The Kings have won 3 games when Quick has been in goal in 12 games. The Kings have a better chance of winning when Bernier is in the goal and he deserves to have more starts. Also, the Kings lost their last game and Quick was in goal.

LT21 Reply:

@tomb, Quick is not playing BAD tonight? Umm he is playing amazing! And how the Kings play in front of their goaltenders is due to their confidence in them. They trust Quickie more and let up more because of it. Their effort in front of Quick needs to be addressed by the coaching staff. You don’t bench your #1 goaltender because the defense and offense can’t get it together. He was their MVP tonight! And let’s not forget the quality of competition Quick has faced versus Bernier. A struggling St. Louis and Columbus. Not exactly the leagues elite. Quick lost in net to the number one team in the league and even Sutter said his game was still good that game and we all know he holds his players accountable. The competition is not exactly apples to apples with who Quick and Bernier have been facing here. Quick proved ONCE AGAIN why he is #1 tonight.

Nonsense, Bernier would lost his cool after those two oilers ran into the goalie and the refs did not call anything

@Paul Armbruster (KingsNewsDaily.com), I will watch in HD everytime, and pay my $200 a month cable bill. That being said, if Leiweike wants my money at Staples, I expect to be entertained, and what this team has shown me over the past 3 seasons is that my entertainment comes playoff time.
Thats ok, but Leiweike should stop sending me emails wanting my business during the regular season.

@neil, I dunno. I’m thinking Bernier will probably be in net to give Quick some time off because as DS said, they will have to split the work load this season. Lots of back to back games coming up.

Now it’s on to Calgary for back to back wins, hopefully they can come out and play like they did against the Blue’s on B2B’games.It’s Mike Cammie and his one legged stork shot tomorrow, put him on his azz.

@goldielocks, Yes, but we said that about 20 times last year too. I’m actually very happy that Quicky is starting to get up to form. I was worried with the lack of preseason work, because of the back surgery he may not round to form until close to game 20 or so. A back injury is the worst you really can’t do any strength training at all.

They played in our zone too much.
We need a more physical game.

It was frustrating.

Kings are lacking identity and a little in the way of character, in relation to what we saw from March thru June last year.

To all the Quick haters up until this game, how you like him now?! Still think he is past his prime? True Quick fans knew it was a matter of time before he became the Quick from last year. @pr0cess, That reply made no sense. What does camp have anything to do with it? The fact he can play like that with having back surgery 6 months ago is actually pretty amazing. And if being a fanboi means supporting someone even when they are going through a down slump and knowing they will come out of it then I am fine with that. At least I am not a bandwagoner.
