Kings Director of Amateur Scouting Michael Futa presented Amateur Scout – Western Canada Brent McEwen with his championship ring earlier today at the Rexall Place media commissary. All rings have now been presented to the club’s amateur scouts.
McEwen shows LAKingsInsider the ring and then puts it on for the first time:

Still hung over…

I wonder if I could get a job (clandestinely) as amateur scout for each of the 30 NHL teams.
Looks like it pays ok.
Of course, in terms of Stanley Cup rings acquired, it still might take a decade to catch up with Dustin Penner as he nonchalantly adds to his total – but he’s gotta retire someday … right?

He looks like either someone who you’d play chess in a park with, or someones whose van you might NOT want to get into. Can’t decide…

The Kings Scouts deserve recognition. We would be in a world of hurt if we were bringing up unseasoned Joe Corvo’s right now. I know he is a decent Dman with PP skills, but his 1st 2 years with the Kings probably cost us 10 games a season.

@luc20rules, Canes love him. They’ve acquired him 3 times!
(albeit not as a rookie)

If he was on the ice he’d be one of our top five scorers.
