“Yeah, obviously. ‘Happy’, I think that’s the right word. Like I said earlier, you want to play as much as you can when you’re in, especially when it goes well and you win. That puts a smile on your face.”
On the lack of shots faced Friday and the limited amount of play in the Kings’ zone:
“I thought we’ve been very solid. We work hard. We backcheck hard, and that’s why they don’t get too many shots. The biggest thing is we get our battle in our zone. By winning our battles, we’re out of our zone as quick as they come in.”
On the last time he started three consecutive games:
“Probably Manch.”
On the longest stretch of games started in his career:
“Probably 20. Junior, and I’m sure in Manch when playoffs come, you just keep going. Plus, even close to the end of the season, you’re certainly playing a lot more. I’d say 20, around that range.”
On whether Darryl Sutter has given an indication of who will start versus Chicago:
“No. Day by day. Get on the plane and see what’s going to happen tomorrow.”
On the excitement of playing NHL-leading Chicago:
“It’s going to be a good challenge. We’ve got to look at it that way. We’ve been playing some good hockey. They’re definitely a great team, and they’re playing very well right now, so we’ve got to match up with their game, for sure.”
