On letting this game go, playing every second night and getting ready to play on the road:
“Well, we’ve got to come to practice tomorrow and get on the ice and work on things that we weren’t good at here tonight and look at some video at what we weren’t good at here tonight and improve on it. That’s all you can do. You’ve got to put these behind you. You can’t dwell on them. Like you said, we play every second day and every third day, so you’ve got to make sure you don’t let games slip.”
On what the team wasn’t good at tonight:
“Just finishing, maybe getting into the scoring areas more. I think there was a lot of shots blocked. I think there was a lot of shots from the outside. We were OK at spurts, but we just didn’t generate enough and get into those hard areas and get enough traffic in front of Pekka over there. That’s why it was a 1-1 game for the longest time. But we’ve got to push through. These are games we need, especially at home, especially considering our schedule coming up.”
Stoll is quickly becoming the most useless player on the team.

Bummer of a loss, but we got a point.
We need more though.
We are getting good time in the other teams zone,
just need to pull the trigger and stronger net presence.

Is Jeff Carter the most instinctive puck shooter on the planet…or is everyone else in the team completely out zinc when it comes to shooting the damn puck?
All game long, we saw Carter taking shot after shot from all different angles immediately after making contact with the puck, while everyone else took too long to shot, tried to make a fancy pass, telegraphed the shot/pass or simply looked like they did not know what to do with it. Martinez being the only other exception. SHOOT THE DAMN PUCK TOWARDS THE NET !!

@Gustavo, Well, tonight you’ve got to remember to give the Preds their creds. They have no killer forwards at all and had their best O man, Hornqvist, sitting at home in Nashville, but if nothing else they are a dedicated and effective shutdown outfit.
You’re right though, JC is a reflexive shooter. I guess he’s playing the percentages and we’ll see by the end of the season, but his style can sometimes make it look as if his teammates aren’t being adventurous enough.
