(Game recap): “I thought we played a good first 40 minutes and the last 20 wasn’t our best. We just got to come prepared for a full 60″
(On his line): “Our line we just try to keep it simple. We play an easy game and whoever we play against whether first line or fourth line we just try to go out there and out-compete them.”
and that folks is called, “charlie hustle”……….
busting their butts for less then half the price……
some guys on the first two lines should be buying the bottom lines and D a big supper in Edmonton, AAA beef dinner

@harty, I thought all the players were on a chicken & pasta diet 24/7 all of Hockey Season.

@CB14, +1, hopefully the hustle rubs off on the top 9 forwards. 4th line has been the best by far in these 2 games.

@luc20rules, I’ve been worried about all the upper body injuries (concussions) that this guy has had. Hopefully for his and our sake, he stays healthy.

Defintely, Cliffy is the best guy in a King’s uni right now. Really impressive. Love players like him.

Keep it up Cliffy thanks

Clifford, the only Kings player that seems to notice the season started.
It would be nice if Richards and Carter decided to show up.

The top three lines are not moving there feet, they only have three guys out of eighteen who are skating, the other fifteen are coasting around. You are not going to beat anybody if your not skating, remember the playoffs, 18 gfuys skated 60 minutes every game. Look back at the game tape.

Clifford had a less than optimal last season compared to his first, and was out for most of the playoff run that won the Cup. He’s come back with a vengeance that shows not only intensity and focus, but also maturity of his skills.
I wonder if a Clifford / Stoll / Nolan 3rd line would be even more effective.

@GUSTAVO, Clifford was healthy enough to play after the Divisional Round, but DS felt the team was playing better since his injury. So he was likely one of the guys that was working like crazy all summer knowing he may not have a spot on the depth chart. It was Nolan & King playing well that shook up the lineup last year. Guys realized their playing time was in jeopardy.

@luc20rules, Clifford played in Ontario for the Reign during the lockout. Did fine.

I *do* like that Clifford is really pushing and looking good doing it. I *don’t* like that the other lines aren’t sustaining any meaningful pressure.
