We need an answer for Colorado, they whipped us last year

@408kingsfan, new season, new trend. I say the Kings sweep them this year like COL did last year. With the forward lines back to normal, the D looking for answers from young players, Quick has to hold strong and rebound from last games performance!

@tornado12, we are the better team if Quick is prepared to play we win!

@408kingsfan, I think we’ll do well against them this year. Two of our losses last year were in shoot outs. Another loss by 1 goal and all games were before the Carter trade. Three of the four were before Nolan and King came onto the Kings. All four with Mr. minus JJ in the line up (combined -2 in all 4 games).

@KC23, now that’s posotive thinking. Because my thoughts were on no Kopitar no Green

Stars, Flyers, Avalanche, Oilers all contacted Canucks regarding Luongo. It seems to be a package deal.

@goldielocks, Not that I oppose it, but what’s with the fascination regarding another team’s goalie? All I want to hear is, Luuuuooonnngooooooo!

@Paul Armbruster (KingsNewsDaily.com),
Mr. Waves, you seem to be missing the humor in it. Personally, I hope he ends up in Philly-whether Bryz comes back to Van in the deal or not. The idea of the Flyers spending $11,000,000 in net makes me smile. Conversely, should our blue and green friends to the bitter-cold North acquire Illya, it only helps the Kings.
That’s what I call a win-win

@Paul Armbruster (KingsNewsDaily.com),
To me, it’s really fascinating to see who is in panic mode at this very early stage of the season. Maybe they should wait until the Ragers lose 2 more game.

A road day without Munters in the morning is like a work day without coffee. Funny that in the past I would often see out Hammonds window on the road ounce I woke up before I even bothered to look out of my own window.

Looking forward to how this team reacts to the loss of Greene and their lackluster performance in the first game. Hope they step it up.

Good to be back. Good to see the Kings playing again.

I would start Munters and Mikas on the same defense pairing and then we could call them M&M but sometimes that Munters runs hot and then he goes col but since Mikas is a hockey god he can change the weather which should help Munters remain consistent, which means Mikas is a thrmostat and then we would get more wins after we trade Carter and Richards to the Flyers for Simmonds and Schenn but bot Bryzgalove because we have Bernier who is better even though he is always sitting on the bench because he likes to wear baseball caps.
That said, Kings win 4-3 tonight with Voynov getting the winning goal.

@DesertKing, I see you are using your alter ego, Desert M in your above post! I say 3 – 2 Kings with Doughty getting the game winner.

Did Mitchell skate this morning with the team?

from yahoo:
What do they do to replace the alternate captain? The Kings recalled Andrew Bodnarchuk from Manchester in the short term, a player with five NHL games to his credit. So we watch and wait for GM Dean Lombardi to address this one; paging Chris Campoli? Maybe Sean O’Donnell can un-retire? Maybe they can call up Thomas Hick… er, scratch that.

@IN King,
He was 5th overall pick from 2010 draft. Apparently, he’s not happy with being kept in AHL. 6 ft 2 in, 205 lb, RW with L-hand shot. Nickname, El nino.
