@DesertKing, Whoa! We’re not there yet! Power skating first. Speed and balance development, then you get a puck

@Neil, +1, Merry Christmas to all the insiders. Hoping Bettman and Fehr get minor’s lungs from all the coal in their stockings, so the NHL can have a chance of starting. Also if I may be so bold may the NHL change its stupid rule of 3/4th of owners to at least 2/3rd or 51%, so 7 owners can’t put a stranglehold on the NHL like in this lockout.

To my fellow bloggers, the Kings Players & Kings Management, Merry Christmas to All.
It was a very good year – and there will be good years ahead.

@Subby,
Which just goes to show you how much TSN knows about hockey. We are Canada’s team!

We had a great time!! 2 assists in the final scrimmage for me.
Thanks Darryl! (I’m still working on C-cuts, but I’m getting better)

@saf227, C-cuts? Skating backwards?
[Reply]
saf227 Reply:

@Robert R,
Nope. Skating forward (although they tell me to start learning to skate forward, just do C-cuts in reverse). C-cut is training for the basic push-out move while skating, really thrusting the skate heel into the ice and curving the skate back to make a “C” in the ice.

@saf227, Interesting. I remember learning to make a C-shaped motion with the skate when skating backward with power.
Well with the few gifts I got from the inlaws (all kings stuff) I really do miss hockey!!!
Hope everyone has a great Christmas/holiday!!

@Lake Forest,
I asked Santa if we could trade in-laws. Merry CHRISTMAS everyone!

Fans hating the treatment by NHL. Show perhaps more than anywhere that NHL affilates in the AHL have experienced a 7% Drop in attendnance. ECHL where most teams are not owned by NHL teams are up 2% what is that like 18 people per game?

I will be one that stupidly comes back like sheep to the NHL, mostly because the Kings just won the Cup after 35+ years of being a fan. I however think maybe I am one of the few that will return right away. I forsee many years for the NHL to gain the support it enjoyed last year.

T`was the day of Christmas and all thru the land not a puck has droped not a Butt in the stands.
Bettman and Fehr can`t even talk ,to all of us fans we might even walk.
No NHL products left under the tree not one not two not even three…….

@HockeyfanB4Gretzky,
….. but what is that, there under the tree,
a very special urinal,
in which to pee,
It looks like Bettman,
it smells like Fehr,
It perfect to receive,
all of your used Christmas cheer,
And as you use it, always remember,
That we won’t see NHL hockey,
Until next September.

Merry Christmas to all the Insiders. Thank You to all who STILL make this my favorite site to visit and post my comments. For 43 years the Kingdom has been a great place to be and for as long as it takes we will be the defending Stanley Cup Champions. Also one last huge Thank You to the LA Kings organization for a dream come true.

Happy holidays to all my freinds here (even the ones I can’t stand
). Thanks to all the Kings staff also for putting in the extra work keeping this blog alive without Hammond or a hockey season. It hasn’t gone unnoticed and is very much appreciated.

Twas the day after Christmas and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a louse (anyone wearing a Duck’s jersey)
So why do we have no action today?
Could it be there is no hockey?
Hooray, Hooray!
So I will save money,
That I can spend on my honey,
And not support Evil Load,
and his crony owner toads,
But Christmas is over,
And we have no NHL,
I’ll just spend time with rover,
and condemn Fehr to hell,
On Bettman, on Fehr and Daly too,
You need to do some explaining,
before the start of Spring training.

I think Trent Hunter should be traded!
Also I think we still have a chance at getting Parise…it’s a long shot, but we should be good!

@Lake Forest,
I agree, but bring back Ethan Moreau as our back-up goalie since he was so good at not getting any pucks into the net.

Man! Usually I’m tracking the last 15 games and making suggestions on where I feel the Kings could use adjustments based on micro stat breakdowns and numerous personal hours of watching replay after replay of any and every team I can get my hands on. Now I have 2 weeks off from work to enjoy the holidays and all I can think of is that I wish I didn’t have so much time off. Lol

Bettman and Daly can drop dead.
I wish I could curse their entire family line for the rest of time.
I wonder where Anschutz and Roski stand on all of this.
Why are they not rising up to get the season under way.
O Hockey gods. please get this season under way!
This has been one of the three most painful winters of my life!

@Mars, Anschutz doesnt give a crap anymore, he just wants to sell AEG (Kings included) so he can get the football stadium built, have a part ownership of an NFL franchise and make billions of dollars.
