@variable, Hopefully, like in the NBA deadlock a new CBA will be agreed to after the Union filed paper work to decertify(NHL version file disclaimer of interest) the Union. It puts pressure on the NHL as it declares the intention of the players is to take this dispute to the courts.

Best article I’ve read on the King’s cup run to date IMHO. Very entertaining and accurate: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=411636.

@KC23, +1, most articles don’t feature the way the team came together to close the season, and how dominate their run truly was. Long live the KINGS!

@KC23,
I couldn’t have described last season better than that. Perfect. The best part – “shoot more.”

Costanza thinks there will be a CBA worked out soon. He is assuming reason will rule over anamosity.

Bettman & Fehr along with their respective tribes. Probably have reached the highest hate levels of any feud that hasn’t had members of the other side knocked off anyway. Thats the notch up that I hope we never see. The only real thing keeping an agreement from happening is the intense hate and distrust that exists between the 2 what should be refered to as hostiles at this point.
Hoping for Hockey, but foreseeing the Court Battle.

Brown listed as best current NHL contract for production.

I have mentioned this often on this site since the contract was signed. I don’t think I am the only one, but its good to see an article giving Brown proper props. Especially since some on this site have criticized the Captain and underrated him in the past.

@luc20rules, Yeah, Brown showed everyone that he is a cut above what the common hockey fan that Brown was about in the past. He really stepped up at the perfect time.

@luc20rules, I’ll not soon forget the names who were vocal about wanting him gone… some of the same brilliant minds who also criticized Quick. Subsequently, I couldn’t be more dismissive of their opinions. I guess every village has a few.
