    I think I will start using the term Bettman-Fehr in my vocabulary. I was driving on the 60 Freeway last year and could see a fire way up ahead, but the way the 60 was Bettman-Fehred I couldn’t get off the freeway for over 6 hours.

    @luc20rules, I’ve been saying

    “I just took the biggest Fehr and wiped my bettman”

    (Sorry ladies)

    @Lake Forest, Since the 1994-95 I have used the term just dropped some Anahiem Ducks in the pond. While I like yours I will stick with the classics.

    i actually voted for lombardi…

    the whole bob miller connection to wisonsin-madison while in fis formative broadcasting years suggest that experience had a major impact on his career…

    we all know how cantankerous jack kent cooke was…and to be honest, by bob miller’s modest accounts that metaphorically explain it much differently than i’ve chosen to…it sounds like he wasn’t the type of guy to help his best friend move….or pick up the check…

    mickey mantle was a generational idol…and unless you were an aspiring baseball player…mick the quick was unilaterally idolized, somewhat, putting him on the sidelines of primary idolization…(theory)…

    for those who don’t know about louis zamperini…:

    i believe that zamperini was idolized by bob as much as anybody…but i thinking along the lines of all the intangibles…and tangibles…he is also on the sidelines, no less important than anyone else…

    jesse owens is a legitimate vote…and it does not surprise me one bit that he was among those whom peeps voted for…it makes a lot of sense, because he was trans-generationa…:…jesse owens is not o only in my top ten sports figure, but it could be argued that he’s among the top peeps ever to exist…

    but it’s lonbardi….and i think the majority of us got it right…

    bob has often quoted rather coyly on-air lombardi aphorisms and direct quotes…so, unless i’m on mushrooms (which is not possible – today…or for decades, for that matter…)…

    it’s…

    Vincent Thomas “Vince” Lombardi (June 11, 1913 – September 3, 1970)
