If you need a hockey fix and want to donate some money to a good cause, Jim Fox is hosting his annual “Sunset Sip” wine event tomorrow night in Long Beach. The event, which includes a wine-tasting contest, food, a silent auction and a showcase of local artwork, will take place from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Museum of Latin American Art (628 Alamitos Avenue). Tickets are $100 per person or $175 for a couple and are available by clicking here.
Kings personalities scheduled to be in attendance, besides Jim, are Daryl Evans, Mark Hardy, Marty McSorley, Bob Miller, Nick Nickson, Ian Turnbull and Tim Watters. The silent auction will include game-used sticks from last season from Dustin Brown, Drew Doughty, Anze Kopitar, Willie Mitchell and Mike Richards, plus alumni fantasy camp game-worn jerseys signed by Marcel Dionne, Luc Robitaille, Evans, Fox, McSorley and Turnbull. The event benefits The Guidance Center, which provides wide-ranging assistance to local children and families.
great cause – foxy always mixes pleasure and philanthropy well…
RICH,
i was kinda hoping to see the headline “sunday skate schedule”…
we now enter the ingmar bergman-period of the negotiations – lots ‘o’ isolation…that leads, of course, to the david mammet-period, where mind games and sleight of hand are commonly on display…after that stage, it could either go jerry bruckheimer-style, where everyone and everything blows up, but, somehow, comes together towards the betterment of humanity (at least, as jerry sees it…) at the end..or it could go the sam peckinpah-way, where everything and everyone get shot…and our lone working-class hero is left, standing alone, wounded, in the middle of a pond that used to be frozen and great for skating….
