Quebec gets the Cup

After a couple days in Massachusetts, the Stanley Cup has reached Quebec, to be enjoyed by Jonathan Bernier and Simon Gagne. A couple public events have been announced for those who might be in the area. Bernier will host the Cup today from 1:30-3 p.m. Eastern time at the Yvon Chartrand Arena in Laval, Quebec. On Friday, Gagne will make the Cup available from 4-5:30 p.m. Eastern time at the Le Relais ski center in Lac-Beauport.

I’ve been updated the Stanley Cup tracker map I created, with all the recent stops and pictures. You can find that by clicking here. Yesterday, the Cup spent some time with Mark Yannetti, the Kings’ co-director of amateur scouting. Phil Pritchard, one of the gentlemen charged with transporting the Cup around the world, got this great photo of the Cup next to its cake counterpart. Phil posts some great photos on his Twitter account, which can be found by clicking here.
