Kings’ Cup schedule taking shape

A story from the Canadian Press today has a partial rundown of when and where the Kings will be taking the Stanley Cup around the world this summer. At this moment, I don’t know others, and I have no idea whether these dates are accompanied by any public appearances. It is entirely up to the players as to what they choose to do with the Cup. If you’re in any of these areas, I would suggest monitoring the local media as the date gets closer.

[NOTE; The Kings have said that the schedule is preliminary, and a reminder that most of these events will be private, not public. Any/all public celebrations will presumably be reported locally.]

    Hey Rich, you’re a Kings employee, do you get a day with the Cup??? I hope you at least got a chance to hoist it? Would love to see a photo if you did. You traveled everywhere with the Kings, you deserve it!

    @Paulhb, Maybe you can take it to Wrigley Field, and inspire the Cubs to their first World Series in 100+ years!

    @Steve W, the Cup was in Wrigley Field two years ago, at a Cubs-White Sox game. It obviously had no effect, unless the regression of the Black Hawks counts as an effect.

    @Paulhb,

    I don’t know about Rich having the privilege to take the Cup: Rich is not a fan of the Kings, according to Rich.

    But it seems like he is enjoying it, just like others who may have followed the team for a much shorter time. So maaaaaybe, just maaaaaybe, through all this recent crescendo of excitement and employed attachment to the team he has had a small infusion of Royal blood that made its way to his heart and (though he might protest) that heart has now been pumping in a Kingly manner and (though he might fight it) his heart can’t help but have those Royal emotions stirred up. Go KINGS Go! Well, I guess thennnn you can share in the Cup. :-)
