Doughty story update

Here are a few more details on the allegations against Drew Doughty, as provided in reports by the Los Angeles Times and the Daily Breeze (both linked).

Per both stories, Hermosa Beach Sgt. Robert Higgins said that a 25-year-old woman has alleged that Doughty forced her into a cab and then sexually assaulted her at her home. Per the Daily Breeze, Higgins said Doughty said the encounter was consensual. Per the Times, Higgins said that the accuser has been “less than cooperative” and that “credibility problems” have been found in her story.

Doughty has not been charged with a crime. Doughty’s lawyer, Craig Renetzky, posted on Twitter that that case is under review by the District Attorney’s office and that “a charging decision will be made in the next few days.”
