He said the Kings wanted to show their appreciation to the fans. The players wanted to share the Cup with the fans. The dregs of humanity trying to make a buck off of this should be ashamed. If you can’t go then let another fan go.
I want to puke that the hardcore fans won’t be able to share a long awaited moment with the players..this is our moment as much as it’s the players and you’re trying to sell “FREE” tickets.
People talk about how great the Kings fans are but when I heard these FREE tix going up for sale I felt maybe they spoke too soon.

The PP worked because DS took control, told the boys to forget the “PP unit” strategy, sent them out there with their regular line mates, and then run the plays Pumpernichol showed them. Nuff said, WE WON THE CUP!!!!!!!

@DesertKing, I’ve seen this said a few times, but was it the regular lines? Brown was out with Carts/MR on the second goal… I know the regular 3rd line was out there at the very end… I’ve seen them do that earlier in the series, but I’m just curious if it was actually business as usual on the PP. If so, JK is probably the most uncomfortable man to have ever lifted the cup less then 48 hours previously… LOL

Tim Lieweke says he’ll petition to have Terry Murray’s name put on the Cup and that he will get a ring.
I don’t know about the name on the Cup, but the guy definitely deserves the ring and a ton of credit. Jamie Mclennan was saying Darryl Sutter had Kopitar playing a solid two way game this playoffs…clearly not remembering the prior three years under Murray and what he did for Kopitar’s game.

@FKA PakiFro,
The main reason the Kings won the Stanley Cup was because (it might sound unglamorous to say this but) they were the BEST defensive team in all of hockey.
They were the best defensive team in hockey because of the defensive structure and groundwork instilled in them by their former coach Terry Murray.
There were of course countless reasons why they rose above the melee and became Lord Stanley’s team, and amongst the strongest of those reasons was the coaching change to Darryl Sutter, but the contributions of Terry Murray MUST be acknowledged.
Maybe they can give him Jamie Kompon’s ring.
