Here is some important information about Thursday’s Kings Stanley Cup championship celebration. There will be a parade downtown starting at noon at the corner of Figueroa and 5th St. It will head south on Figueroa and end in front of Staples Center on Chick Hearn Court. The parade will be followed by a rally inside Staples Center. Tickets are required for the rally, and free tickets will be available today, on a first-come, first-served basis at www.lakings.com/parade. Tickets are available for season-ticket holders today at 10 a.m. Pacific time, and to the general public at 6 p.m. There is a maximum of four tickets per person.
The Staples Center rally is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. and last one hour. A ticket to the rally also entitles you to a spot in L.A. Live Plaza to watch the end of the parade. Otherwise, L.A. Live Plaza will not be open to non-ticketed fans. Please visit the link above for full details. For those who can’t attend live, the parade and rally will be broadcast live on Fox Sports West.
Speaking of TV, if you’d like to relive the Kings’ playoff run, today would be a good day. All day, Fox Sports West is re-airing the Kings’ “clinching’’ games for each series. Game 5 against Vancouver is on right now, followed by Game 4 against St. Louis (11:30 a.m.), Game 5 against Phoenix (1:30 p.m.) and last night’s game against New Jersey (4 p.m.). Also, tonight at 7:30 p.m., Prime Ticket will air Game 6 against New Jersey, followed by the postgame shot with Bob Miller and Jim Fox.
