Gagne postgame reaction (June 11)

Simon Gagne’s postgame thoughts…

(on his journey…)
GAGNE: “Everything happens for a reason, I guess. It’s worth it. It’s unbelievable. I’ve been in the league for 12 years, and it’s so hard to win. It’s unbelievable. It’s so hard to win. Even when we were up 3-0, it was hard.’’

(on being the third guy to lift the Cup…)
GAGNE: “I guess I’m old. [laughs] A lot of class from the (guys). They told me that I was going to get the Cup after Mitchy. We went by how many games we played in the league. It means so much to me that the guys gave me the Cup that early.’’
