Tuesday (non-)practice update

The Kings opted to stay off the ice today, and had their regular off-ice workout and meetings before the mandatory media time. Of course, there was lots of talk about maintaining focus heading into Game 4. Darryl Sutter didn’t say whether Simon Gagne would play in Game 4, and said that decision would be made tomorrow. Sutter had an epic exchange when asked about taking the Kings’ job, and where he was when he got the call from Dean Lombardi.

SUTTER: “I think I was in the barn.”

Question: What were you doing?

SUTTER: “Uh, I wasn’t shoveling (manure). I remember that. But I had, that day. I was probably warming up. It was cold.”

Question: You were really in the barn?

SUTTER: “Yeah, that’s what I said.”

Finally, I while back I noted that the good people of Munters were doing work at the construction site across the street from the Kings’ training facility. Here is proof…
