This is Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Kings and the New Jersey Devils. The Kings lead 2-0 in the best-of-seven series. The Devils tinkered with their combinations during Game 2, but aren’t expected to make any lineup changes tonight, while the Kings will substitute in Simon Gagne for Brad Richardson. The Devils have a 6-4 record on the road in these playoffs, including one overtime win and one overtime loss. This is the first time in this postseason that the Devils have trailed 2-0 in a series, but they did trail 2-1 against both the Florida Panthers and the New York Rangers, and they trailed 3-2 against the Panthers. The Devils recorded 33 shots on goal in Game 2. They had not exceeded 30 shots on goal in seven of their previous eight games.
