Dean Lombardi’s process, in building the Kings over the past six years, has been well-chronicled, but who does Lombardi turn to for sage advice? High atop that list is a longtime NHL executive named Jack Ferreira, who holds the vague title of “assistant to the general manager.” It’s a important position for Lombardi, though, as Ferreira is a wise, veteran part of the front office.
