Morning in Los Angeles

More than 20 minutes before the scheduled start of the Kings’ morning skate at Staples Center, a lone Alberta native took to the ice and started lining up pucks… Also of tangential note, Slovakia eliminated Canada from the IIHF World Championships today. Drawing an important late third-period penalty for Slovakia was the one and only Juraj Mikus. Also, as I pulled into the Kings’ practice center yesterday, a truck pulled into the driveway across the street as part of a construction project. A Munters truck. That’s correct…the building directly across from the Kings’ training facility will be powered by Munters. Here’s how the arena looks this morning…
