Matt Greene’s postgame thoughts…
(on the Kings’ third-period play…)
GREENE: “We can’t sit back, especially against a team like that. They come with a lot of speed, and they had a fair amount of chances in the first. Our key game is to get pucks behind their D and get our forecheck going and grind on teams. That’s what we’ve got to do.’’
(on what improved for the Kings during the game…)
GREENE: “I think just eliminating turnovers. That’s a huge thing for us. They feed off turnovers in the neutral zone. We were giving up some in the first half.’’
(on being comfortable in close games…)
GREENE: “I think guys are comfortable playing in one-goal games. We’ve been doing it all year. Quickie is great. That’s another thing that calms everybody down back there, is when you have a guy play pretty well. With Quickie in net, that always helps. Guys are used to it. Guys have been in these tight, tight games.’’
