DOUGHTY: “That was a lot of fun. I’m so excited right now. That was a great series by us. I thought every single guy on the team played their hearts out, and it showed on the ice, and that’s why we got those four in a row.’’
(on the Blues’ strong play in the second and third periods…)
DOUGHTY: “They were desperate. They knew if they didn’t get one that the game was kind of out of their hands. We expected that. We didn’t play our best hockey in the second, but Quickie made some huge saves there. We played all right defensively, and luckily we got out of that second period.’’
(on reaching the Western Conference Finals…)
DOUGHTY: “We knew, all along, we had this team in here to do it. Right now, we’re playing with a ton of confidence. Every single guy is feeling a part of the team, and that’s exactly what you need in the playoffs.’’

yeah…it’s a tough call on how long you want the kings to be idle…especially when we are on a roll…
we won a game today that we usually wouldn’t …and probably shouldn’t…but quick (with a lil’ help form kopi) kept us in it…

@DesertKing, Nashville, because we own them, Rinne is a bit overrated. Smith is on freaking fire right now, and Phoenix always seems to have our number.
I will this though…if both Shane Done and Radim Vrbrata are taken out early and out for the series…I’ll consider Phoenix.

Happy the Kings won, but I HAVE to get this off my chest. WTF is with Carter? He skates like he is on a Sunday afternoon skate. Every GD player on the Kings is skating like their life is on the line and he skates when he feels he needs to…which isn’t often. This whiny SoB better get his S together and get over being traded by the Flyers. I am tired of his act. Could you imagine how great we’d be if he pulled his head out of his A? We’d be unstoppable. If someone has more info on his BS, please let everyone know so we don’t start booing the guy. Proud to be a King.

Heh heh. Yeah, me too…I don’t think he’s enjoying it that much. Any more than he enjoyed getting owned by Jim Fox in that little competition they had between them a ways back when the Kings were playing the Ducks. Nobody can tell me these guys aren’t emotionally invested in the teams they cover game in and game out….
Lieweke looked like he might stroke out there right before the commercial. Staples schedulers must be panicking.

All of the boys are playing great. Never thought they would roll over these two teams like they did this fast. Funny thing……I don’t know if anyone remebers the funny Kings commercials a couple of years ago about a guy walking into a place with his Kings jersey on and everybody runs for cover all scared? Thats how it feels now, don’t mess with us or else…It’s great to be a fan of this team….Go Kings….rest now and enjoy this…you’ve earned it…..GO KING GO
