Lineup changes for Blues

The St. Louis Blues will make a couple lineup changes for Game 4 tomorrow, per the team’s official Twitter account, with Ryan Reaves expected to replace B.J. Crombeen on the fourth line and Ian Cole expected to replace Carlo Colaiacovo on defense.

Crombeen has one goal and zero assists in seven playoff games. Reaves played one game in the first-round series against San Jose and, in the regular season, had three goals, one assist and 124 penalty minutes in 60 games. Colaiacovo has three assists and a plus-1 rating in seven playoff games. Cole replaced injured Alex Pietrangelo in Game 2 against the Kings and was a healthy scratch in Game 3. Cole played 26 regular-season games, with one goal and five assists. Click below for the latest on the Blues from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch…

    Yet another change that shows the Kings have thoroughly confused the blues. Almost reminds me of the musical lines that TM used to play.

    Colaiacovo’s been pretty brutal.

    @cjms, he looked like he was playing hurt. I think that’s the reason for these changes, putting in healthier players.

    What’s Reaves going to do? Fight and try to injure everyone? That’s like the Kings dressing Westgarth after being down 3 to zip

    BringbackButchGoring Reply:

    @Klong, Well from Hitchcock’s perspective, he’s got to try to do something different or the haters will be out in full force. We are definitely controlling the physical play in my opinion, which is something that few teams were able to do against the Blues this year. In any event, he’s just replacing a scrub for a more physical scrub.

    @Klong, Crombeen has been taking dumb penalties anyway, might as well give the other meathead a chance

    They should just change their charter flight time to 8:00 pm tonight….no reason to hand around and get schooled tomorrow!

    Jeff Reply:

    @Joey No-No, wrong attitude. Kings still need to win another game. It’s not over and it would be a big mistake to underestimate the Blues. Yes, the Kings have played well and taken the play to the Blues, but the Blues have a good team and are capable of winning.

    @Jeff,I agree with your take on this, but also find it interesting that the confidence shown by the team is rubbing off on us fans. Will be there tomorrow hoping to see the hand shakes!

    @Jeff, It’s not impossible to come back from 3-0, but this Kings team is not going to let the team that lost the first three games do that. I’m pretty comfortable, for this series, now that it’s 3-0.

    @Joey No-No, It’s taken the best Kings hockey so far to take it to the Blews. Do not count them out. They are hoping fresh physical guns will open up a whole in our defense. We have to come out hard and make them see that their effort is futile and accept the inevitable as early as possible.

    @crashin’ da net, I don’t think we’ve seen consistently Kings’ best hockey. That’s a scary thought.

    Does anyone remember how annoying cocky Sharks’ and Canucks’ fans were the last couple years? Can we lead by example as a fan base and not resort to being the same way? The Kings still have to beat a very good team one more time. Even then, there’s still 2 rounds to go after that. The Kings haven’t won squat. Yet. Just my 2 cents.

One game at a time.I know that this is not Baseball but when I coached my son in High School(He was a Pitcher).I told him…one pitch at a time…or you will lose…That is one of the reasons that DS is doing a great job..staying focus!!!

    @Lithium,
    Agree 100%. A huge reason why the Sharks and Canucks are so hated is because their fans are obnoxious about them being the greatest teams to ever play the sport, and because their fans believe there is a proper ‘order’ to how well teams should be doing without realizing that all teams go through ups and downs as a direct result of the draft system.

    @Lithium, Agreed, wholeheartedly.

    I’ve always thought we have been the better fans, if that makes any sense. We know the ups, the downs. We’re waiting patiently and we’re ready for each game, each period, each minute.

    Cheers to all Kings fans (even the ones who have snuck onto our bandwagon).

    @Kissmyblarneystones, I think it’s only as a replacement for Crombeen, who’s really hurt his team. I doubt it’s because they want him to goon it up.

Might I suggest you guys have the volume turned down on the TVs and up on the radio so you can hear some real play-by-play and commentating from our very own announcers.
