Friday (non-)practice update

Most of the Kings stayed off the ice this morning, although it was fascinating to see Willie Mitchell, the oldest guy on the team and the guy who played 28-plus minutes last night, on the ice with Kyle Clifford, Davis Drewiske, Andrei Loktionov, Kevin Westgarth and Jonathan Bernier. Mitchell is a pure hockey junkie, regularly the last player off the ice in practice and pregame warmups.

Dwight King, Matt Greene, Dustin Brown, Drew Doughty and Darryl Sutter chatted with media members. A lot of talk today about Sutter’s personality and how it has impacted the team. More on that, and other notes and quotes, to come…
