Scouting the Blues

This is Game 3 in the best-of-seven, second-round playoff series between the Kings and the St. Louis Blues. The Kings lead the series 2-0. The Blues played two road games in the first round against San Jose and won both. St. Louis will do some shifting for this game. Big-minute defenseman Alex Pietrangelo, who missed Game 2, is expected to return tonight. Matt D’Agostini, a healthy scratch in Game 1, entered the lineup in Game 2 and practiced yesterday on the Blues’ first line. With veteran center Jason Arnott likely out of the lineup with an injury, Chris Stewart would return, on a line with David Perron and Vladimir Sobotka. Penalty killing remains a strength for the Blues, as they are 26-for-28 on the penalty kill in seven playoff games. The Kings have failed to score a power-play goal in five consecutive games. For the latest on the Blues, check out the coverage from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and the Belleville News-Democrat, followed by the possible lineups for the Blues and the Kings…
