It’s more than a little strange to be here at Staples Center in the morning, but the Kings are filing onto the ice for their skate. They will spend the afternoon at the hotel before returning to the rink. The St. Louis Blues, per usual, will be skating here at 11:30 a.m.

Heck yeah!!! Because it’s the CUP!!

The difference in vibe from skating at Staples vs TSC has to be palpable. While it’s great to be able to see the boys skating up close at TSC, there’s always a youth hockey feeling to it (esp when there’s youth going on in the other rink) because it just lacks the magnitude that befits an NHL team and (hopefully) champion.
No offense intended to anyone connected with TSC who may read this, but convenience should not be a consideration at this point of the year (Staples scheduling conflicts be damned).
