Blues skate update

Alex Pietrangelo participated in St. Louis’ morning skate, and coach Ken Hitchcock said that if Pietrangelo participates in the pregame warmups, he will play tonight in Game 2, but Hitchcock didn’t say if Pietrangelo would be in warmups. If Pietrangelo can’t play, Ian Cole will go into the lineup. The Blues are expected to make a change up from, with Matt D’Agostini replacing Chris Stewart, and the Blues are expected to swap their first- and second-line wingers.

Hitchcock today was announced as one of the three finalists for the Jack Adams Award, given to the league’s top coach. Hitchcock had a great line today, after he told reporters that Pietrangelo had not suffered an upper-body injury, as had been reported. Told that he had made the upper-body diagnosis, Hitchcock quipped, “Oh, did I? Damn coaches, they lie all the time.”
