5th on the team in scoring. 1st in d scoring for the team. 25 mins per game against the leagues best players. PP, PK, 5v5 and everything else in between on the leagues 2nd best defensive teams.
By far the best “horrible” season ever for a 22 year old Dman.

I think there is a TON of over reaction to Doughty’s season. It was a good season by most standards.

I remember that ridiculous quote from Larry Robinson; “Serious Hockey”. He gave it in a interview and and the kings organization ran with it and used it as there slogan for the season. I remember the interview and the billboards. I’d like to say I remember the season, but it wasn’t that great. Thr slogan should have been; “Stay retired already”.

@King Alex, Proven playoff performer,people in boston never heard of him.They were not watching any Nash last year,they only worried about Van,DET,Chi.East dont know the real west.Sad for them,but ignorence is bliss.

Last 1/4 of the season, the Kings were the best team offensively in the Western Conference. That includes 5 on 5.

The reason the Kings D got so much more attention is because the Kings couldn’t score a goal to save their lives for 3/4rs of the season. The Kings defense was underrated offensively though because they were ranked 30th out of 30 teams in offense most of the season, but nobody realized that even though the Kings were ranked 30th, their defense was tied for 3rd in goals scored by the defense with Vancouver.

Both teams were overlooked equally, but in different ways.
