Stoll: `Full-team effort’ needed

The playoff rock pile is starting to break up a little bit. Nashville eliminated Detroit on Friday, St. Louis eliminated San Jose yesterday and Philadelphia eliminated Pittsburgh today. The Kings would like to join that list today, but of course it won’t be easy. Jarret Stoll has been there. In 2006, his Edmonton Oilers were seeded eighth and reached the Stanley Cup Finals. Facing an elimination game in Game 5, the Oilers beat Carolina, then won again in Game 6 before they finally fell to the Hurricanes in Game 7.

STOLL: “In the Finals, we were down 3-1 and we got her to Game 7. I know, definitely, that 3-1 can become 3-3 pretty quickly, if you don’t take care of the right things and have the right attitude. That’s what it’s all about for us right now, is the right attitude and the right frame of mind. We know we’ve won in Vancouver. We’ve played well there and we can do it again. It’s not just going to happen. It’s got to be done from within and from everybody in the room, not just one line, two lines. We need a full-team effort there.’’

Technically, I don’t think Paul ever said he couldn’t afford the Hammond Suite tix, he was fighting for the regular Joes like myself. And thanx Paul for standing up.

    Have fun with variable tonite!

Thanks for posting the info! I’m actually going to go to that one tonight, and watch the game at Legends. If any Kingsfans from the insider are going to that one, don’t hesitate to stop and say “Hi!”.

I’ll be carrying around a black back pack, and trying to milk a few beers while I watch the game, and would welcome the company.

Keep an eye out for a 6’1″ tall male with dark brown hair and eyes. Polynesian looking. I’ll wear a black shirt.

Enjoy the game Paul, and cheers to you 2 in Westchester! GO KINGS!

Intensity in Van City is what is needed!
It already seems like everyone here in beautiful Pahrump, NV is getting, er punped for the game today!!
Well, if you count Mrs Gribbons the grocer’s wife commenting on my grubby 1980s Kings long sleeved T, and a few funny looks out on the main drag.
If anyone is passing through, please stop by the trailer and enjoy a full buffet of pretzels and PBR … and there might be some cheese sticks and tater tots around the place too, for those who like to indulge.
Please leave your dogs locked in your trucks, though – it’s not too bad, down below 100 F here today – as my own little baby, ‘Gorilla’, gets a smidge jealous and has been known to fling unwanted visitors thru’ screen doors by their collars!
I hope the Kings can play the same way …

GKG & pick off some fleas !!!!!

    @Duncanz,

I haven’t had a PBR since I was in a bar in southen, Illinois where they were playing Freebird on the jukebox and Deliverance on the TV.

    Bartender asked: What ya havin?

    How about a Corona?

    Ain’t got that?

    How about an MGD?

    Ain’t got that.

    How about a Coors?

    Ain’t got that?

    How about a Bud?

    Ain’t got that?

    Ok, what do ya got?

    PBR.

    Anything else?

    PBR light.

Why didn’t you tell me all you had was PBR and PBR light?

    Ya didn’t ask.

This here sounds like a bar I went to in Coleridge, where they wouldn’t let me order without trying a ‘tomato beer’ … and then wouldn’t let me drink anything else once I did.
Them Cornhuskers really got a way of dealing out their hospitality down there, I can tell ya!
