Thanks to the continued great work of Larry Abel and Frank Robledo, a playoff “suite night” has been set up for blog readers. Here are the particulars…
Tickets are now available for a potential Game 6 of the Kings’ first-round series against Vancouver, which would be held Tuesday night at Staples Center. The cost is $150 per ticket. In the event that a Game 6 is not necessary, those who have purchased tickets will have two options: 1) receive a full refund, or 2) for an extra $25 ($175 total), purchase a ticket to the Kings’ second home game of the second round (Game 4 of the series). In this scenario, as soon as the second-round schedule is announced, you will get an email from Larry Abel asking whether you’d like a refund or an upgrade. You will have 48 hours to respond. If there is no response, Staples Center will refund your credit card.

@LUCALACA, if you purchase tickets to this game, and there isn’t a Game 6, you can upgrade by paying $25 more to get the second home game of the 2nd Round, so its a win-win. Looking forward to seeing you guys there.

Damn, it looks like Staples Center is increasing their ticket prices ASAP. I was really looking forward to attending one of these events, but that was when I thought it would be close to the same amount as last year, $75. But double the price? Can’t afford it.

1. Can’t make it to the Tuesday night game

@King Alex, Where are you buying your tickets? I paid $120 for 333 row 10 (we were higher than the blimp) for game 4 from Barrys. Would love to go again but the prices are steeeeeeeeeeeep. @Forum gold, I had the 10 game season ticket package & did the early renewal for next season & I went on the pay as we play program for the playoffs. 1st round was $42/ticket & 2nd round is $53/ticket. Still don’t know the price for rounds 3 & 4 but I am guaranteed the lowest price.

If I was in town I’d be there with my wife for sure. Being 1300 miles southeast of L.A. has disadvantages. Before the playoffs I told myself we’d travel for round 3+. No sooner because I know I’d want to go again for later rounds.

@Secret Squirrel, I don’t agree. The scheduling is a bit delayed because of the conflicts in LA and VAN arenas. It’s really simple…..if the Kings and Blues win, the Kings play the Blues. The only way we play NSH is if ST. Louis loses. If VAN beats us they are the number one seed for the second round. Go Kings Go! Believe!

What does Nashville winning have to do with LA? Preds would only play the Kings if the Coyotes or Blues totally collapse.
‘Nucks fans, who we could care less about, might be worried if they win and everybody else who’s leading wins, ‘cuz then they’ll draw the 4 seed (Preds).
At this point the Kings will likely play the Blues, unless the Sharks stage a miracle comeback (we want the rest by taking out Van tomorrow, then hope SJ takes StL to 7 so they can soften ‘em up a little for us).
If the Sharks pull it off and win, then we’d get Phoenix, barring, of course, a Chicago comeback.
The way things are trending, in round 2 we play StL and the ‘Yotes will get the Preds. Except in the total collapse scenarios mentioned above (2 & 3 seeds lose their series), the only way the Kings play the Preds will be in the conference final . . .

Like always going to a suite event is out of the question for me. Unless they make it to round two, then it’s a possibility. 175.00 Big ones is a bit high, but could be a once in a lifetime event. Hmmmmm… If I don’t tell the wife and sneak away for a few days… It just might work! Damn these Kings are like having a women on the side… maybe I can tell her I’m going fishing with the boys? Or maybe I have to go to LA to look at a job? No way she will know that the money was put on the Visa. I just can’t tell her I’m going to a playoff game. She will freak out! Ok I got it!!! Get a divorce and re marry her after I get back. Maybe buy her a bigger diamond. What do you clowns think!!! Leaving Salt Lake would be easy, getting back into my home will be the hard part. I believe these fans deserve to have the price increase explained in full. No salesmanship, no pulled punches, just a straightforward explanation. Again, why no mention of this?
