Anze Kopitar’s postgame thoughts…
(on the game…)
KOPITAR: “They buried their chances. That’s the bottom line. I thought the start was pretty good, but we had too much of a letdown in the second and they came back and made it a hockey game.’’
(on what happened in the second period…)
KOPITAR: “I just think we didn’t have as much composure in the second period. We were throwing pucks away and they ended up making plays and we gave them too much space, which, with that team you just can’t do. They have some good players that are going to make good plays if you give them time and space. That was the case tonight.’’
dang it..

@letswinthecup2012, That STUPID penalty that Fraser took in the 2nd period was a momentum changer. Come on BOYS…..Play smart. You cant afford to help the Nucks. BTW…..Lay some serious hits on those Sedin Sisters, would ya?

@Die Hard Kings Fan, That happened right in front of me, too. I stopped watching the puck when I saw Fraser making a bee line for the Canucks player. Fraser had plenty of time to pull up. The ref has his arm cocked knowing exactly what Fraser was going to do.

@Shuchuk,
yep….i thought he and brown got clipped pretty badly this game…i, too, am glad that kopi rebounded after it and even stayed on the ice/in the play…i can’t believe they missed sedin’s (daniel, i think) punch to brownie’s face/nose…unreal…
time to move on…

@variable, it was a nice headshot from the replay i saw suspend henrick but hey he is a superstar and shanahan doesnt have the rasins to so that so if reviewed it will only be $2500 comeon kings win it for the cheap play of the canucks and win it for clifford

@g smith86,
i thought the refs consistently didn’t call many of the chippier plays…in other words, they were letting them play…up until they gave nolan that roughing call…i thought that was rather tame what he did considering what else was being allowed/what wasn’t called…
but, overall, i thought the refs did a very good job…

i was being sarcastic, but it was my fault to not make that evident…so, my bad…
Good game for you Kopi. Make sure you tell the other boys to stop slacking off.. it’s not over yet.

Seemed like the Kings were too content with their 1st period lead, and were happy to play it safe and hang back and try to hold on to this one. Canucks took control in the 2nd and became the aggressors. Still feel the most important key for the Kings is to never let up. When they play their game, and take it to the Canucks, they tend to dominate, yet they still have lapses where they take their foot off the gas. Vancouver pinches their D all the time, but the Kings were too busy trying to stay down low to take advantage on counters. It’s playing into the Canucks hands the last couple games. Time to get back to being the attackers for a full 60 minutes. Get back to your game, boys! Win the next one and put them away!

Vancouver is gambling with their pinches…DS and his crew and the players have 3 full days to figure this out. Vancouver was keeping the puck in the zone all night…A few wrinkles in the breakouts…a little stronger on the puck…and I think you will see some oddman rushes by the Kings in the next game…oh and…Knock the Sedins around a little more boys

didn’t we acquire an impact player at the deadline? What was his name again?

One loss either learn from it and move on or don’t learn and repeat.
I have faith but we need to close this out so our guys have the mind set that we can get past the first round.
See you guys Sunday.
[Reply]
Nothing we can do about this game now , let’s move on and be ready for game 5. Our pp has to be better along with our top players kopi, brown, mr, jc, dd
[Reply]
I think we can do this on Sunday and then be able to get some rest
until the second round starts. I have all the confidence in the team
that I have loved for so many years, we can do this.
GO KINGS GO one lose in one round isn’t bad at all.

Dan O’Halloran should be the first star of the game for the Canucks

@bkinlv, I can’t find any info about the denied tying goal in the second period. The one that is called a goal when it’s against the kings every time. What happened? Why no review? That would have tied it.

@Lavamantis, thats not revieable, because the whistle was blown, it wasn’t a matter of the puck going in, it was that that the ref lost sight of it.
Great game guys

@King Cobra, I agree. Kings did anything small that is considered roughing and the ref was all over it. Canucks interfere, punch to the head, elbows, nothing called. I think the NHL wanted this game to go to Game 5. Not really, but the refs did suck major balls tonight. Better we win up there anyways, so their fans can go home all sad and riot like the bucn oh idiots that they are. LOL
