I was so buzzed by the win last night that I spent hours after w/reading twitter & cracking up at how happy/relieved/exhausted/silly that win made a lot of fans feel. I saw the @LAKings tweet and specifically recall that that it made me smile… because that was what it was obviuosly meant to do. So it WAS a little distracting to wake up today & see the bizarre backlash over an otherwise obviously facetious & intentionally goofy comment.

And yet, there is an up-side.

As I waded through today’s teary-eyed tweets from those who CHOSE to be offended by the joke, I realized that while, apparently, “there’s NO crying in BASEBALL,” there IS crying in HOCKEY….. IN VANCOUVER.

And that’s just sad.

Yet here in LA, no matter how many times the hockey world has put the joke on us, we’ve always known how to suck it up, keep smiling AND still keep our eyes on the prize.

Go Kings!!!

If they won game two then yah, but only because you can still lose the series. I don’t buy into balogne of “bulletin board material” they shouldn’t need anything to get up for a game like this they are being paid millions.

A bunch of “tweeters” were saying “oh how unprofessional Kings! I would fire that employee”….ehhh? So what’s the point of twitter then if not to poke fun?? It’s just a game, who is getting this butt hurt over that? Probably because it’s true and hurts! Now everyone is trying to turn Facebook and Twitter into this “professional” arena where you don’t want to say anything that might be controversial or offend anyone ooooooooooooo excuse meeee What’s going to happen is people will move on to the next social site if they’re getting ratted out/scrutinized.

Hey, the Kings organization unveiled a “conference championship” banner before the anthems at Game Three of the Stanley Cup Finals in 1993…dumb dumb dumb…it was a funny tweet, but Rich has it right…shut up until you’ve got three more wins this playoff season. And maybe then, too. Anything you say that can go on the other guy’s locker room wall…a bad idea.
