Kings skate update

After today’s morning skate, Jeff Carter said he would play in Game 1 tonight against Vancouver. Carter was part of the morning skate and is likely to play with Mike Richards and Dwight King. No other changes are expected.

Brad Richardson, out of the lineup because of his emergency appendectomy Monday night, has been released from the hospital but will stay in Southern California. More notes and quotes to come…

Hey Rich, does Sutter ever practice Carter and Kopitar together? I feel like with Kopitar’s playmaking abilities and Carter’s sniping, they would be virtually unstoppable on a line together. Meanwhile, we could still have that second line threat with Richards and Brown or Richards and Williams.

Kings need solid efforts from all 4 lines tonight. 3rd line is where they need the biggest lift as they have done nothing recently. Anyone notice that 8 has not been mentioned much, if at all, by the pundits? I hope he proves everyone wrong and has a very strong series. He must at least play solid defense for the Kings to win. 32 has got to make all the expected saves and not let the air out of the bubble by letting in any soft goals.
