`Hollywood’ Renney fined $10,000

Edmonton Oilers coach Tom Renney has been fined $10,000 by the NHL for his comments after last night’s game against the Kings, in which Renney suggested the league was favoring the Kings in terms of penalty calls. “Maybe they [the NHL] need Hollywood in the playoffs. I’m not sure,” Renney said. The Oilers were called for four minor penalties in the game. The Kings got three: Willie Mitchell’s high-sticking penalty and Trevor Lewis’ double-minor high-sticking penalty.
